The annual registration and insurance fee covers your membership with Gymnastics Australia, Gymnastics Victoria and Niddrie Gymnastics.
It provides assurance that you are participating with an affiliated club of Gymnastics Australia for which there are high standards of qualification and compliance.
Your registration and insurance expires December 31st each year and is payable before commencing classes in the new year.
We are a not for profit club run by a voluntary committee. The maintenance levy has been in existence for several years and is consistent with practices at many other similar clubs, such as kindergartens, tennis clubs and schools.
The principle is that the levy is applied to each Squad family, once per year. Once a family member attends a working bee for the 2 hour minimum time, the levy is refunded.
Squad Working Bees are designed so that various tasks can be undertaken eg. pit cleanout, floor realignment, general cleaning etc.
Assistance at competitions eg. Setup, pack up, canteen, door duties are not considered working bee activities.
Maintenance levies which remain are used for maintenance at the club. In the past funds raised from maintenance levies have been used to get the kitchen painted, purchase floor and carpet tiles for upstairs and electrical work.
After a survey a few years ago, it was unanimous that parents would prefer to pay a Fundraising Levy than participate in fundraising. The $10 levy per child makes up part of our annual registration fee. This is used for maintenance of equipment that often needs replacing.
We still hold Raffles etc at our competitions and display as we feel this adds to the enjoyment for our friends and family attending.
If our phones are unattended, emailing us will achieve the fastest response, we will get back to you as soon as possible.
All children are constantly reviewed within our assessment program and during training. If children show potential for the squad program, parents will be notified.
Yes, we have a lost property bin in the locker room (beside the girls toilets). Unlabelled items that are not collected at end of Term 2 and Term 4 will be donated to charity.
